Flywrite

Getting started

You have a Flywrite license โ€” here's how to go from zero to writing in a couple of minutes.

Download and install

  1. Sign in at account.flywrite.app/login โ€” you land on your License page, which has the download link (and your license key, which you'll need in a moment).
  2. Open the download and drag Flywrite into your Applications folder.
  3. Open Flywrite.

Activate

On first launch, Flywrite asks for your license key. Copy it from your License page, paste it in, and click Activate. That's it โ€” this device is activated and you're ready to write.

You can use the same key on more than one computer. For how activation works โ€” and how to move to a new machine โ€” see Licenses & devices.

Optional: set up an AI agent

Flywrite is a complete writing app on its own. If you want an AI collaborator, install Claude Code (or Codex, Cursor Agent, or any CLI agent) and run it in Flywrite's built-in terminal โ€” see Writing with Claude Code.
