Team & seats
Flywrite accounts support teams: one account, multiple seats, one license key per person. This guide covers roles, invitations, seat assignment, and changing your seat count.
Owners and members
The person who purchased Flywrite is the account owner. Owners manage everything: seats, team members, billing, payments, and every seat's license key. Members see only their own assigned seat โ their license key, the app download link, and their activated devices.
Inviting team members
- From the Seats & Team page, invite a member by email address.
- They receive an invitation email with a link to an accept page.
- Once they accept, they join your account as a member. If your pool has an available seat, it's assigned to them automatically โ otherwise you can assign one whenever a seat frees up.
Assigning and unassigning seats
Each seat can be assigned to one member. Assigning a seat gives that member access to its license key so they can activate Flywrite on their devices. Unassigning a seat takes it back into your unassigned pool, ready to give to someone else.
Two assignments happen automatically: when you purchase, the first seat is assigned to you (the owner), and when an invitee joins, they receive the next available seat if one is free. You can unassign or reshuffle either at any time.
Removing a member
Removing a member from your account automatically returns their seat to the pool. You can then assign that seat โ and its license โ to their replacement.
Adding seats mid-cycle
Owners can add seats at any time from the Billing page. You're charged a prorated amount immediately for the remainder of the current billing year, and the new seats are usable right away. Your rate is based on your new seat total โ current per-seat pricing is shown on the purchase page.
Reducing seats
Seat reductions take effect at your next renewal โ you keep what you paid for until the end of the current cycle. One constraint: you can't reduce below the number of seats currently assigned. Unassign seats first if you need to go lower.
